PastorStays serves credentialed, evangelical ministers, including bivocational ministers, missionaries, associates, parachurch leaders, district/network leaders, and others. To be eligible for our services, ministers must hold a valid credential through a reputable denomination, district/network, or similar organization

Credential, evangelical ministers pay two nominal fees. The first is the Cleaning Fee, which is determined and set by the host of the property. This fee is paid directly to the host and covers necessary charges such as cleaning fees. The second fee is the 12% Service Fee, which is charged by PastorStays and helps cover their operating expenses. Both fees must be paid by the minister or their local church in order to secure their accommodations through the platform.

As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, financial donations, or gifts to PastorStays are tax-deductible. You will receive a tax statement at the end of the year. Please note that in-kind reservation rates reserved by Pastors are not considered tax write-offs by the IRS.

Our team is currently working on integrating PastorStays calendar with popular platforms like Airbnb, Vrbo, Google, and others. Please stay tuned for updates on this exciting development!

We understand the financial pressure that can come with ministry. As a result, we want to offer our support to any credentialed, evangelical minister who may be struggling financially. Our platform integrates with Stripe, a third-party payment gateway, to process payments securely. Hosts receives the cleaning payment directly from users through this functionality.

PastorStays is a platform that values communication and connection, and we offer a chat feature to facilitate this. Through our chat feature, hosts and ministers can easily communicate with each other about specific rules of the house, the check-in process, and any other important information that may enhance their stay. In addition to practical matters, our chat feature also allows hosts and ministers to express gratitude and share prayers. This creates a supportive and uplifting environment that encourages guests to feel at home and welcome during their stay.

Hosts can block out any dates that are not available for ministers. Ministers can request specific dates for their stay, but the dates will not be reserved until the host accepts or declines the request. PastorStays will keep ministers informed throughout the booking process and communicate with them accordingly. This system ensures that ministers have a smooth and reliable booking experience, while hosts can manage their availability and bookings effectively.

As part of our platform's requirements, credentialed, evangelical ministers who wish to join are required to provide their minister's license, which we then verify. Once verified, ministers must sign a PastorStays Covenant to ensure they adhere to the values and standards we uphold. Additionally, we conduct a review of their website and/or Facebook page to ensure they align with our mission and principles. Once they are listed on the platform, the host has the responsibility of rating the minister privately. If the minister doesn't receive at least 4 stars, they will be removed from the platform. In case of repeated violations, we have a three strikes policy, and the offending minister will be banned for 6 months. By setting these standards, we strive to maintain the highest level of quality and integrity for our platform's users.
